I got to be one of the worst mothers! My 2nd oldest daughter had her bridging ceremony last night from daisy to brownie and I hadn’t iron on any of her patches not to mention I can’t find half of them. agh!!! And I had less then two hours to found them and fix this, because I had completely forgotten about it, but that never happened.
Well it turns out that her leader still had them, that’s why I couldn’t find the other half of her patches, but anyways they all had a good time. But the best part was after the ceremony when we were getting ready to leave. There was a big bin outside the cafeteria with wooden blocks in it. It was marked trash, I asked and we were allowed to take it. So I decided to tell my girls that when I was their age I used to dumpster dive( yes I really did) when school was out and would find all sorts of goodies the teachers would get rid of. So my oldest begged me to go over the their dumpster. (don’t judge yet) and we did and you wouldn’t believe what we found.
There is still a few other things that I couldn’t fit in the picture like a couple board games and a sit n spin. I just can’t believe that they were throwing all this away. I never found anything this cool when I was younger though.
Do you still think it was bad that we went dumpster diving?
Talk to you soon,
